Corozo, also called Vegetable Ivory, is a material coming from the seeds of Phytelephas macrocarpa, a palm tree in the South America’s tropical forest. The drying process gives the fruit a consistency, a color and an appearance similar to animal ivory, therefore making it an ideal substitute for the production of buttons.
